Hi Craig and welcome to Steem. I'm also new around here so I'll kick off this AMA with a couple of questions.
Firstly, how do you find the level of support for rugby union compared (to other non-football sports)
And secondly, what's your opinion to another independence vote?
Hey, thanks for commenting. Rugby Union is bigger than rugby league in Scotland and generates quite a bit of interest at the international level. It isn't uncommon for Murrayfield to be sold out (67,500 capacity). Club rugby operates on a much smaller scale. I lived in Glasgow for 7 years and went to see the Warriors a few times. They have a hardcore following but the average crowd is only around 6500. The only other significant club is Edinburgh really. They average similar crowds.
As for independence, I voted for it in 2014, as did much of the younger generation. I definitely identify myself as being Scottish rather than British, but while I vote for the SNP I don't agree with all of their policies. I would vote for independence again if it meant remaining in the EU, because simply put I value my European citizenship more than I do British citizenship. The country's a bit of a sinking ship. Personally, I'm hoping that there's a miracle and we reverse on our decision to leave the EU, but I'm not holding out much hope at the moment.
