Happy Sunday, Steemians!

DSC_0593.jpg

I've been loving being in the beautiful state of Idaho and the northern parts are just spectacular. This past weekend happens to be the 32nd annual Lost in the 50's car show in Sandpoint. You can check out the website here for more info -> Sandpoint.org

There were so many fun cars to look at and not to mention some rather interesting people watching as well.

I may not know a lot about old cars but I really enjoyed seeing all the sleek and shiny vehicles that look as if they've come straight out of a movie set. My favorite part was the photography aspect though. They just look amazing in pictures.

This one was my favorites if I were to choose one, but I think the first photo in this post is my #1.

Here's some of the other car photos, but since I have so many to share I'll be doing another post tomorrow. Have an awesome Sunday, everyone!

Great post! I recognize many of these cars from my early adulthood. The panel truck was used as a "rolling store" in my part of the country at that time. It was loaded with candies, fruits, snacks, cold drinks, etc. and would travel through the big acreages, where farm labor was busy at work, blowing the horn for miles. The laborers would get all excited and announce that the rolling store was approaching. They hovered around the truck selecting their items and visiting for a while. It was definitely a high point in their day!

That is a really cool story, a piece of history. Thanks so much for sharing this, fantastic contribution to my post @team101

Man im right there with you, I dont know much about cars but im a sucker for old schools. They do not make them like that any more if only i could go back to when every car on the street looked like that would have love to captured that era. Any way is you can stop my and help a newbie steemian out and keep on steeming! #UpVoted

Thanks, I will, it's been nice and relaxing so far :)

Tasty cars :P

LOL! I live just down the road from Sandpoint, and you're right, we do have a pretty eclectic mix of people in North Idaho!

Lost in the 50's is so much fun, been going since I was a kid, but I never get tired of all the beautiful bits of engineered steel.:o)

So glad to hear you are enjoying your trip to our neck of the woods, if you are interested in vehicles of a larger variety there is a monster truck show (and a ton of other attractions!) at Springfest which is held at the fairgrounds just down the road in Coeur d'Alene!

When is 'Springfest' in CDA?

Bummer, I won't be able to make it today. I'll be here for another month, so if you know of anything else, I'd love to hear about it.

I am now following you, by the way. Looking forward to more of your food posts

Many thanks for the follow! That means an awful lot coming from Steemit's resident master of food and photo composition!

Springfest was great, sorry that you couldn't make it. Car D'Alene in CDA happens the weekend of June 16-17th if you're still here and wanting to check out more cars, and if I think of anything else I'll be sure to give you a heads up!

Awesome, yes please keep me in mind.

"Steemit's resident master of food and photo composition!" That is too sweet, thanks so much
