This amphitheatre was built by the Romans and it looks like the Coliseum, but it is not in Rome. It is in Tunisia. It is called the Amphitheatre of Thysdrus, which is the Roman name for the city of the time, but today the city is called El Djem. It was built around 238 AD and is very well preserved. It was listed by Unesco in 1979.
