The city of San Francisco has been quite unkind today with its dirty streets and massive garbage pileups but the ocean is beautiful!
One week to enjoy the bay then we move on to the redwoods!

San Francisco is a great place, intellectually stimulating and naturally beautiful. The oceans and forests are close enough to refresh the spirit; the architecture is always exciting.
You dont go there to see San Francisco, you go there for San Francisco to see you

Although you will not find Janis Joplin or the Grateful Dead singing at sold-out concerts, the calming liberal atmosphere still feels. The fleece jacket and tennis shoes have long replaced the suit and tie in the city's Business District area.San Francisco is known for its unique area and area for travelers. Take a cable car that will take you past this city's steep hill to Fisherman's Wharf Historic Fisherman's Fishing Area. Here you can sample fresh seafood or a bowl of creamy creamy mussel soup. Explore the gypsy bookstore and take in some music history at Haight-Ashbury. Explore Union Square to buy groceries, or grab your hat as you walk past the famous Golden Gate Bridge. In Aceh Indonesia there is a rocky beach
Ocean beach is probably the nicest and safest part to visit. Even whenI was kid i've seen needles on that beach though... Pretty sad. Golden gate park is beautiful too, though. The redwoods are much more peaceful. Hope you enjoy!
its quite shocking about the dirty street but clean ocean. normally streets are dirty and ocean is dirty :P

I love San Francisco and lived there for two years! There are so much to do and explore! The surroundings are just pretty and it's close to nature. I hope that you will enjoy and that you won't see any more garbage! :) Helen

SF`s coast is so clean to play in the beach.

On your way to Canada you might enjoy stopping by Oak Harbor, WA where I live. We wanderers need to stick together...
