A visit to Jaisalmer, India!!!

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

Though I am from rajasthan but never got a chance to see desert until I visited Jaisalmer. Finally the call came from the desert and one fine day I convinced my parent to visit to Jaisalmer – The Golden City of forts, havelis and the magnificent Thar.

Jaisalmer was a part of my first family trip across the Western rajasthan. Jaisalmer is 400km from hometown. We stayed there 2 nights and 2 days in Jaisalmer Fort. Jaisalmer Fort is only palace in world where you can stay in Fort.

This is very interesting. Tannot Mata is a temple in western State of Rajasthan in District Jaisalmer of India. It is said that during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, Pakistani Army dropped over 3000 bombs targeting the temple but not even one exploded! Here you can see a few bomb kept for tourist.

Pictures are awesome @harishbhati

Jaisalmer is known as "Golden City of India" because the yellow sand and the yellow sandstone used in every architecture of the city gives a yellowish-golden tinge to the city and its surrounding area.

It is one of the must visit place in India.

What nice pictures, I hope someday to visit those places. regards

Thanks. Surely you will visit the places
