The khmer440 forum has been around for some time in Cambodia, (http://www.khmer440.com/k/) it is in my opinion an embarrassment to Cambodia, its negative stories on Cambodia offer a highly pessimistic view of Cambodia and can only be a depressing window to the Kingdom.
Its stories and forum posts attack individuals in the same way the tabloids did and still do in the UK, its posters and admins are just like the worst journalists there can possibly can be.
The forum posts both individuals passport details and photos to the embarrassment of many visitors and expats, it insinuates people are guilty of crimes and tries to bring down the unwary person that may cross its way.
The above photo shows the old khmer440 haunt on Street 110, the Garage Bar.
If you are a popular expat then khmer440 will not post your photos on the website, this happened when one long term expat Tony Jones died (RIP) in Sihanoukville in 2012, khmer440 did not place photos of the tragic accident on their forum, but if you are a mere unknown person then the photos would be on their forum for the world to see. Nepotism is the name of the game on khmer440.
In 2015 a once Cambodian expat Sebastiano Magnanini died (RIP) and his name then appeared on khmer440, Sebastiano then had his name pushed through the mud on the forum for his family to see, his mournful family even commented that the internet had now destroyed their sons name.
Photos of homeless foreigners, drunk or unfortunate individuals will have their photos placed on khmer440 for derision. How many people have lost their jobs and livelihood from khmer440?
Photo above is Peter Hogan, 49, died of apparent “blood in the brain” and was the khmer440 founder, needless to say the khmer440 forum paid tribute to him as if he was a God whilst much of the internet including Thai forums mentioned his less than admiral character.

Khmer440 acts as police, judge and executioner; if you are brought onto the forum then expect the admins and posters to google you, find any details about you and copy and paste your photos for the forum to see from your facebook page.
Khmer440 has attacked TEFLERS as they call them, yes they seem to hate people who teach English, khmer440 has also attacked Thailand expats and said that Cambodia does not want them, yes khmer440 is a Clique and only some will be let in.
Is this what Cambodia needs? A forum that attacks and derides on all fronts? The coastal town of Sihanoukville in Cambodia has the unfortunate nickname on khmer440 "shitsville" this is a highly derogatory name for an up and coming town in the Kingdom and does not bode well for tourism there where many jobs are dependent on the tourists who flock therein.

TEFL Jobbers are the unqualified who turn up here with no teaching experience, or qualifications, and 'teach' English as a substance level job to allow them to stay in Cambodia to fund their cheap beer and cheap girls lifestyle. He also said "I think that if you check the archives over the past decade plus, you will find that I hate everybody"

The list is endless, for many years khmer440 has worked as a nasty journalist venue, the admins have shown no mercy in bringing people down and bullying individuals. If you are a newby on the form then expect no mercy.
If you have an unfortunate encounter with khmer440 then woe betide you, how long will this site carry on attacking people and bringing people down? How long will it embarrass Cambodia and its people?
