Pakistan is a country in South Asia that was established in 1947 after the partition of India. Before partition, Pakistan was a part of British India. Pakistan is called the land of  Highest Peaks in the world because of the mounts it has in its territory. Fourteen of the world's highest mountains are there in the Northern Areas of Pakistan.

K2, also known as Mount Godwin Austin, is the highest mountain in Pakistan with an altitude of 8611 meters. It is also the second highest mountain of the world. It is situated at the border of Pakistan and China. It is a tourist attraction and always a home to mountaineers every year who yearn to top it.

  • Nanga Parbat


Nanga Parbat is also called Killer Mountain

Nanga Parbat is the second highest mountain of Pakistan with a height of 8126 meters. It is located in the high range of mounts of Himalaya. It is also the world's 9th highest mountain. It is also called Killer Mountain because it has been a cause of so many deaths of mountaineers who have aspired to top it.

  • Gasherbrum I


Gasherbrum 1 , also called K5, is the 3rd highest peak in Pakistan with a height of  8080 meters. It is also called Hidden Peak. It is the 11th highest peak in the world. Situated at the Baltoro Karakoram region at the China-Pakistan border at the Gilgit Baltistan province of Pakistan, it is one of the mesmeric locations in the world.

  • Broad Peak

Broad Peak is the 4th highest mountain in Pakistan and also the 12th highest in the world with an altitude of 8051 meters above sea level. It is also situated in Balto Karakoram region.

  • Gasherbrum 2

Gasherbrum 2, also referred to as K4, is the 5th largerst mountain in Pakistan and 13th largest peak in the world with a height of 8035 meters above sea level. It is located in the Karakoram at the juncture of Gilgit Baltistan province of Pakistan and Xinjiang, China. It is also one of the major tourist attractions in the country that is known as the land of highest peaks.


Apart from these 8000+ meter peaks in Pakistan, there are several other mountains in the country in Himalayas and Karakoram regions that are major tourist attractions and capture the interest of a lot of visitors from around the world.
