A few days ago I made a post about airships (https://steemit.com/science/@hmushtaq/before-airplanes-these-beasts-used-to-roam-the-sky) whose popularity ended after the Heidenburg disaster and of course due to faster winged aircrafts. But as I mentioned there, flying on them was much more luxurious. It was sort of a flying hotel. I would really like airships to make a comeback. Maybe we could have a hybrid airplane/airship, which is faster than an airship but more luxurious than an airplane. Another good thing about airships was that you could fly at low altitude with them, so you would have a good scenery throughout the flight, and won't have to deal with pressurized cabins of airplanes.

I think airships have become impractical for long distance flight, for obvious reasons. For shorter distances, yes, it could be a good experience, especially to take in all the sceneries of the city.
