The Gateway of India was built in 20th century in Bombay, currently known as Mumbai, India by British Empire. The monument was built to show respect for King George V and Queen Mary. Its made of basalt which is 85 feet in height. The foundation stone was laid on 31 March 1911. It's the city's top tourist attraction.
