Located in Riau Province, this palace is a legacy of the Sultanate of Siak Sri Indrapura who ruled from 1723 until Indonesia's independence in 1945. The palace was designed by German architects. So the architecture covers Europe and Malay influence. The decor is filled with ornaments and furniture from Europe.
Today, the palace becomes a popular tourist attraction, telling the life of the nobles during that era. Tourists can observe the various weapons, equipment, and musical instruments used by the nobles.
