My Visit to Factory Berlin Co-working Space

in #travel8 years ago

I had the chance to check out a cool co-working space near center of Berlin, Germany called Factory Berlin.

It's conveniently located next to the Bernauer Straße U-bahn metro station. When the weather is nice, the outdoor space is really comfortable.

The whole complex is two stories, with a cafeteria on the first floor as well as a quiet area. Both the first and second floor have a small talk and eating area to grab a quick coffee or water break. There is plenty of open space in terms of desk space, or couch space, or eclectic wall space.

That being said, there were some work spaces that I strangely did not find plugs ... which is a major requirement when working as a digital nomad, as powering up laptops and electronics is essential.

Since the Factory Berlin is very popular, I was told that people would line up and wait around the opening time to claim their spot, and then pretty much stay the entirety of the day.

The day I visited wasn't as busy as it usually is ... so I really can't imagine going when the entire place is crowded. I can imagine that the Factory Berlin is simply over capacity.

But overall, I enjoyed my visit and seeing a previous digital nomad friend I had met last year in Athens.

Good day.

Thanks Jessa! I checked out your introduction post, so welcome to STEEM!

I actually have never been to LA, so I hope to visit there one day!

LA would be blessed to have you for a visit

I had never heard of this. What a nice and clean place to work. I get the feel that their is a lot of focus and productivity. Thanks for sharing these great photos and experience. Aloha from Maui.

I wish Hawaii on any of the islands has a co-working space. I do remember someone trying to create one on Maui, but that plan never really worked out due to high cost. It's such a shame that the State of Hawaii doesn't do more to support entrepreneurs and digital nomads ... and actually, the State of Hawaii doesn't really support cryptocurrencies, at least according to what Coinbase mentioned on their website.

We have them in London, UK.
I think it must be a base model as its almost identical.
In-fact on first glance I thought it was London.!

that looks like a really good place to be productive.
so much space around. Could they be living quarters as well? like a hostel?
Interesting place, i would like to go to Germany someday.

Actually, I'm not sure if Factory Berlin operates on a 24/7 basis, but I don't believe so. But yes, co-working spaces are great places to be productive away from working at home.

that looks poppin'! I'm also a digital nomad and I plan to travel to Germany next year. This October I will go to Peru. Keep writing articles like this. Love it! <3

Be sure to eat the awesome local ceviche and the local purple corn drink chicha morada in Peru!

purple corn? sounds good! thanks! <3

Looks a nice place to work with. Nice post though. :)
