Baitul Makmur Grand Mosque is the largest and grandest mosque on the west coast of Meulaboh City

The beauty offered by the Meulaboh Grand Mosque will be immediately felt when in the main gate of the mosque. This door is located approximately 50 meters from the main building of the mosque. The gate embraces the Middle Eastern design that looks magnificent and beautiful. This mosque has at least 3 gates on the north, west and east.

As I entered the courtyard of the mosque, I felt a cool and peaceful atmosphere. The vast courtyard and green grass that grow will attract our attention as well. The courtyard of this mosque is also grown by various trees such as palm trees and spruce. Some of the courtyards are equipped with brick, for access to the mosque.

Meulaboh Great Mosque
The mosque has 2 floors which have different architectural designs. From outside the mosque will be clearly visible three main dome mosque accompanied by two dome towers of water on the right and left. All the dome has identical color and same color that is red brick. The head shape of this dome is rounded with a tapered top.

However the size of the main dome and dome of the water tower is different, the main dome has a larger size than the dome of the water tower. The design is a blend of architectural style typical of Asia and the Middle East.

The charm of the Meulaboh Grand Mosque will be more pronounced when entering the inside of the mosque. There will be two rooms with different design concepts. In the first room, visitors will see a room filled with poles. These pillars are a pillar for the second floor of the mosque building.

While in the second room, will feel different atmosphere with a spacious room without a buffer equipped with decorative lamps in the middle. The typical style of the Middle East can also be encountered when looking at the form of mihrab which is dominated by golden brown color. In addition, the walls and pillars of the mosque are also decorated with ornaments and carvings that represent the typical architectural style of Aceh.
