I am restarting a tradition that I used to follow a year ago, but stopped doing as I was busy working.
Ever month for at least a day, I would go out of the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle, into the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. This was to unplug from the daily stresses, loud noises and information overload which comes with being in urbanised areas.
Once you enter the wilderness, the only noises you can hear are the howling wind, the pitter patter of raindrops and the chirping of birds coming from the vegetation around you. Being in this environment helps put your mind and body in a relaxed state. When it is just you and nature, you can better reflect on your life, think clearer and make calculated decisions which have a positive impact on your life.
I will be doing this once a month and sharing with you all some of the awesome trails that you can also go on, but also the benefits I have felt each month by doing this.
Below are some images from when I last did this, from Hope Valley in the Peak District, Yorkshire, England.
(Great view as we ascend further up the peaks of hope valley)
(The trail has a very slippery path and this tree was covering a ravine which had a small waterfall within. On our way up three people slipped so it is advised to wear appropriate footwear.)
If you liked my post and would like to see any future post feel free to give me a follow.
