I find myself writing this in an effort to avoid my responsibilities of 100 pages of history and american lit readings for the weekend. It's funny how I've somehow reverted back to this forum in an effort to avoid homework, I guess this is easier because no one is actually forcing me to write/read anything.
My family and I took a trip to Washington DC in August and it was probably one of the most enriching trips we had ever been on. I had never been to the East Coast before so my only expectation was to see a Chris Evans/ Captain America look alike running around The Mall.
(
So on our trip, we spent the week walking everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE. The first day we walked to almost all the monuments.
The Jefferson
Lincoln
Korean War
FDR and Fala
And some tourists got in my picture but its not like they care anyway!
So overall it was a really awesome trip! We also made it out to the Holocaust museum but thats probably going to be a separate post because it was amazing all in its own. DC is definitely a place I would love to revisit in the near future but I would recommend preparing for the amount of walking you have to do and starting really early in the day.
P.S. Never found the Chris Evans look-a-like
Awesome place to visit! Great pics!
