Greetings Steemians! I finally made a Dtube account to post some of the footages I have shot on some of the craziest mountains on the planet.
This particular video seemed like a perfect first post for Dtube which accurately describes my world and the life I live. It is from a mountaineering expedition I was on the mighty Kang Yatse Peak (6400m) in Ladakh, India. The video was shot just 200 feet below the summit.
We had been climbing throughout the night in extreme altitude, where a task as little as tying a shoe lace exhausts you. The temperature was -25 degree C and you cannot stop because the body temperature would drop drastically. Getting through the night is the most difficult part. Once you witness the beautiful sunrise and see the valley below light up, all the exhaustion is gone and it reenergizes you.
But at that altitude, walking more than 10 to 20 steps at a go is not possible so we give ourselves immediate goals and once we achieve that, we move on to next goal. This video depicts that one goal of walking 30 steps at a go.
More such exciting footages to come every day! Follow on. Cheers!
