Day 3: Vacation at the Mountains- Last Day and I Am Heading Home

in #travel7 years ago

It was really a fun vacation despite my initial reluctance to come to Buguias, Benguet. It was well-spent, so I savored my last day because I'll surely need to adjust as I got home. I miss the cold weather there by which it's extremely hot here at the lowlands.

I took a shower before I leave and took pictures of the surroundings outside the house, before we had our breakfast.

With the son of my friends where I was warmly accepted and accommodated. We are all ready to go for travel as the family will bring me to the terminal.

As we are on our way to the terminal, I took pictures of the surroundings because I am still in awe. I will surely miss this place.

I always get amazed of the terraces. My friend said most terraces now were shaped through a backhoe, and were formed. It's still tedious, but it's worth it.

There are certain areas where you will be in awe such as this landscape.

While taking the rocky narrow road.

Farming is the main job of many people in Buguias, Benguet. I am not sure what's being planted here, but I think those were carrots.

We are close to Halsema Highway, one of the most dangerous highways in the Philippines because of zigzag roads.

We finally reach the proper of Natubleng, Buguias, Benguet. This is where I met my friends when I arrived there. The place was known for carrots.

Before going straight to the terminal, my friends took me for a short sightseeing. From an elevated area, I took this pictures where I can view of a large part of Natubleng.

The weather is partially cloudy, but it allowed me to have a sight in these beautiful views.

We proceeded to Atok, Benguet where the terminal is located. Before reaching the town proper, we had a shirt stopover at the Highest Point, the highest highway in the Philippines.

It could have been more beautiful without the clouds. Mount Pulag would be visible if it was not covered by the clouds.

We finally reached the terminal, my friends gave me some gifts back home. I was very much thankful because of their hospitality. I hope to go back there again. It's indeed fun.

It's been a long travel back home as it took me five hours. This journey is worth remembering. Thanks for joining me.
