Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha) is very beautiful and popular to tourists. The temple is an inspiring pieces of art. Every time I visit, I can’t help but imagine how much work the artists must have put into this. This architecture style, known as Rattanakosin, is relatively new compared to other temples of Thailand.
A Yaksha at Wat Phra Kaew. Think of it as an equivalent of an ogre in Buddhist literature
I had a difficult time taking photos because there were too many tourists walking around. They weren’t the interesting kind of tourists who travel alone or in small groups. Most tourists are part of Asian group tours of about 20 people per group. They tend to stay together and block a large part of a view, making it very hard for me to capture the images of the temple. So I aimed my camera high to avoid having people in the photo.
Making Touristy Spots Interesting
To make my photos stand out, I like shooting long exposure when the sky is moderately cloudy to show the motion of the clouds. Each picture takes a total of two to eight minutes to take depending on how fast the clouds move. I had to stand next to my camera, in the sun waiting. Had I brought an umbrella with me, I would be less tan.
But the sacrifice is needed so that you all can see the place in a more beautiful way.
Here are some normal photos too.
Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to explore the place much. I will have to go back there for sure.
Just outside the temple, I saw this police writing what I assume to be a ticket. I didn’t expect him to smile at my camera. If this is in the US, he would not be smiling. This shows how friendly Thai people are, even the police. I think the policeman in this photo was happy also because he was writing a ticket to a motorcycle taxi who parked in a restricted space.

Good photo's P'Jack
How do you get people to see your post more often. Kinda enjoying this :D
Are you Thai? I assume you are Thai from "P'Jack".... I'm Thai and live in Thailand presently! Nice to meet you here! ;)
@tangmo I am trying to introduce Steem to as many Thai people as I can. This platform can help bring income to people who can't find any work there.
I absolutely agree with you, Steemit is great platform for that purpose and for good friendship as well. I already introduced Steemit to everyone around me and they seem to be interested and agree to join Steemit. Just wait and see. Will try to introduce Steemit to more Thai people. I admire for your great effort on this! :)
Yes ! We live in the same state and not far away. (45 min drive) Nice to hear that there are some Thai's who are engaging in a new social application !
I'm very glad to hear that! And really hope that there are some more Thai people at Steemit! It's very great platform for all of us! ;)
Thank you Fen. I got lucky on this one. Someone with a lot of Steem voted up.
You have to engage with the community. Try going to popular/trending posts and leave interesting comments there. People will follow you when they see your comment in a popular post if your comment is useful to them.
Other than that, read the guide I sent on the chat.
Wow. Amazing. I followed you now. Hope to interact with you more soon. :)
Thank you.
Wonderful pictures of Wat Phra Kaew! Well done!
p.s. So, as noticed from your article, I just realize that you are not Thai.... At your earlier post, you said that you came from Thailand....you don't look like Thai people but I didn't ask you at that moment...until today, I'm quite sure you are not Thai!.... Anyway, nice to meet you here! ;)
I am Thai. But I look more like Chinese. That's what people think anyway.
Really! Yes, you look like Chinese..... Glad to know that you are Thai! There are few Thai people at Steemit indeed! Hopefully, there are more Thai here very soon! ;)
Nice photographs, brings back the memories. I thought the most tourist spot was the river cruise ;)
Probably true. I have never been on one because I thought it is interesting only for foreign tourists. Will have to check it out.
