RE: Travel Diaries #10 - The Land of Pharaohs - Egypt

What a nice blog you wrote, it wants to make me leave immediately :-) It is on our bucketlist to go there, but the last years it was some kind of problematic. :-) What I think I will not like is the pushy behaviour for tips, and like most of the countries the pushy interest for filled European woman. I always feel unsafe around man that side of the earth.

Thank you @janine-ariane. As always the media over hypes the situation. When we traveled a lot of people told us that it's not safe, when we landed there it was all ok. There were a few demonstrations but not that it would bring harm to anyone. And the problems are only in Cairo, else rest of the place is very very safe for tourist. I rather found this place safe and no issues even for a woman to be there alone. People were very friendly, warm and courteous.

I totally believe you, about the caracter of the people. But safe, was it not hurghada a few years ago with the bomb in the hotel? I will get there once, but for now the world is big with loads of places I want to see, without any problem. :-)
