Yeah the rounded ones are the Martello Towers are from the early 1800's. You cannot enter most of them as the are mostly converted to private houses/accomodation. Generally the walls on those were around 4-6ft thick and had three levels. Pretty cool structures and really built to last. If i ever get the opportunity to get in one, I'll be sure do document it.
Howdy this fine Christmas Day sir preppervetuk! That is so interesting, 4-6 ft thick walls! that would make an industructable house and that would be cool!
