A 95-year-old British veteran broke the record. He became the oldest active scuba diver in the world.
Sciba diving is one way to enjoy the underwater beauty. Recently a world record has just been solved, namely the presence of an active 95-year-old scuba diver.
the name of the scuba diver that broke the world record is Ray Woolley. The 95-year-old man broke the record as the oldest sub-player in the world
Woolley came from Port Sunlight, England and now lives in Cyprus. He was a World War II veteran as a radio operator. And he has been diving for 58 years.
Woolley broke his record on August 28 with a 44-minute dive at a depth of 40.6 meters. This record defeats his record at the age of 94 years which is 41 minutes with a depth of 38.1 meters.
Woolley and his fellow divers explore the waters around Zenobia. Zenobia is a diving spot in the form of a cargo ship that transports dozens of trucks and sinks about 2 km south of the city of Cyprus in 1980.
Zenobia is one of the popular spots and almost every year 60 thousand divers come to visit. On the ship there are dozens of trucks that are still sinking on the seabed.
From his interview with Reuters, Woolley revealed that he wanted to prove that age did not limit his ambitions. Woolley's first visit to this shipwreck was in 1982. Great !!!
