The Weather was REALLY showing off today,
so we decided to hit the road and do a little bit of a road trip.
We headed down a side road near Hermanus,
which has like a million wine farms...
Our intention was to drive to the top of the road,
and then meander down...
whilst stopping at each and every venue...
to do some wine tasting (obviously lol)
and eat a little food...
However, no matter our intentions...
they were not going to come into fruition today...
It is Boxing Day so EVERY place
was ABSOLUTELY FULLY BOOKED!
I would show you my sulking face at this point
but it was NOT pretty lol!!!!
We stopped at about 4 wine farms
and had to walk away from all of them...
so we headed back in to central Hermanus
to have lunch...
Now, don't get me wrong
the centre of Hermanus is absolutely beautiful
and has the most amazingly energetic vibe.
(It just wasn't QUITE what I had anticipated for my day)
and I can be a little resistant to sudden change sometimes ;)
nonetheless, we found a spot at a pretty casual restaurant
and ordered drinks and some food
I ordered a nice dry Rosé and Dave had an
Amarula Dom Pedro... which to be honest...
looked more like a childs milkshake! lol
We were both a little perplexed at the colourful sprinkles.. lol
but I suppose we all need a little colour in our lives right ;)
I ordered a calamari starter,
which was not bad... but saved by the Sambal
which I stole from Dave's Butter Chicken Curry...
hahahaha!
It was a decent meal,
but like I said...
not quite what I had intended for the day... lol
nonetheless, we finished up
and decided to head down to
"BIETANGS CAVE"
for a drink...
A restaurant which is literally
situated in a cave
RIGHT ON THE WATER!!!!
They too, were FULLY BOOKED
so we could not get a table,
but were welcomed to grab a drink at the bar
and head down to the rocks...
Which is precisely what we did!
So... CHEERS to drinks on the rocks !!!
hehehehe!!!
We have a rotisserie chicken planned for tonight's dinner,
which takes approx. three hours to cook...
so it was time to go get the necessaries
and head home...
This is actually me waving...
or "High Fiving" you guys...
not B!TCH SLAPPING you...
for misbehaving in the server and all lol
@zord189 @amarbir @chrismccron
and the rest of the steemit bloggers... lol
THIS!!!!
Is me...
B!TCH SLAPPING YOU!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Until next time...
Much Love from Cape Town, South Africa xxx
Lovely photos. I'd have taken that scenery any day to our wind-blown, blustery walk into town. I particularly like the look of that cave bar. 😊
Yeah I will agree with you on the wind factor! lol Wind is SO annoying! lol... and yes the Cave bar was AWESOME!
Yep. Wind is my least favourite weather condition. It's been howling down the chimney over Christmas but seems to have settled down now. Clear blue sky and sunny!
his beautiful scenery and beautiful shooting photos are also good, wow wah ,, his food is also delicious delicious
Yes I agree, I couldn't have said it better. Amazing #food #photoshoot!

Thank you very much for your generous compliment @rebecca80
Don't be fooled by that fruity mimicry of fino, love, it is a children's milkshake. Treat it with the severest of suspicion, ostracize the hell out of it for the phony it is.

Noo my Banana's 😂😂😂😂😂. But shouldn't it be near the water instead of on.
Wow-- looks like a lovely spot!
Many many moons ago, my mom and stepdad would leave the winter grime of the UK and head to South Africa for 2-3 months... Hermanus was one of their favourite spots and I recall them renting a place there several times; in fact, I just had to pull out the old photos to make sure I remembered that right, and yes I did!
You look pretty happy and relaxed! Hope your holiday break is truly being a break for you! Remember to PUT DOWN the technology and enjoy life! Oh wait... you have a glass of wine... forget I said that! ;-)
