It was interesting that the writer strongly focused on the South West part of Korean peninsular. First, I thought WHY? Most Koreans suffered from the Imperialism. However, I understood why he/she focused on the part. Even though I am Korean, I did not think of the time this much. And was surprised because of the writer's insight of that the people of the part were especially damaged because it had vast agricultural soils.
