When I think of Australia, or Straya as most locals call it, a few things come to mind: Opera House, Great Ocean Road, Uluru, kangaroos and koalas.
Sydney Opera House, NSW
The Twelve Apostles, VIC
Ayers Rock/Uluru, NT
Curious Kangaroo on the Beach, WA
Mama Koala and a Joey, SA
Australia is home to more than 500 national parks and has around 50,000 kilometers of spectacular coastline. You can see why it would be impossible to see the country and experience everything it has to offer on a single trip.
My short visit in 2015 got me wanting to explore more of this vast country. With a one year Working Holiday Visa (WHV) I set out to discover Australia's extraordinary landscapes, laid-back cities, pristine beaches, cascading waterfalls, impressive rock formations, and spectacular gorges.
Purnululu NP, WA
Blue Mountains NP, NSW
Girringun NP, QLD
New England NP, NSW
Ikara Flinders Ranges NP, SA
Watarrka NP, NT
My road trip around Australia, which is a three-part journey, began early this year. First exploring the East Coast from April to June; then The Red Center, Western & South Australia, Victoria and Canberra from July to October. I am currently in the middle of planning the last bit of this grand adventure. In a week I will be returning to Tasmania. For much longer this time. I can't wait to share all about it.
Cradle Mountain, TAS
An enchanting sunrise in Tasmania
Freycinet NP, TAS

I am overwhelmed by the support guys!
The one in Watarrka NP, NT is kinda scary and you're about to go closer to the edge in the picture. 😮
I was there with her. I was suppose to go next so that she could take a picture of me on the same spot but I didn't go through it because it was scary as .....Sh*t. haha.
Cool shot thought. It's worth it to go there. If it was me, my knees would be shaking so hard.
I have done a lot of stupidly scary stuff before and I must say this is definitely up there. That slab of rock could have crumbled beneath my feet at anytime...but it didn't. Thank goodness. You must have been shitting yourself when you took this photo @jon24jon24 as I was shitting myself looking at you standing so close to the edge on the other end. LOL. #Don'tLetMomSeeThisPost
Hopefully mom wouldn't go on steemit. haha. Right now its hard for her to navigate so its gonna be later on that maybe she will see this? haha
Hello Ate @jh3n, welcome to stemmitfamilyph! Do you still remember me? Hehe

Thank you ading @gheghenrv :)
Gorgeous pictures! Where did you stay on your trips? I imagine it would be fun to camp!
Thanks @bymelissaclaire :) I camped most of the times but also stayed at hostels, hotels, and at friends'
It is so amazing that other people who come and visit the land down under have more experience traveling the country than people who actually live in it.
It would be nice to travel to those places that you have been to.
The only thing that get me is you guys prefer western australia? Hmmm I don't know about that I don't see much that worth seeing in WA... Maybe I'm missing something.
I have met so many amazing Aussies in my travels, heaps of them welcomed me into their homes and adventures. And a lot of them also say the same. I believe it is human nature to explore other places first before exploring their own/home because, well, it's home. It will always be there. At least that's what a lot of people I've met have said. As for me, I have explored my home state a lot when I was living there.
If you love the outdoors and nature, WA has got so much to offer. And I think that's why I love it there. But mostly due to the fact that it's so remote and not easily accessible. A lot of the places I visited in WA aren't as crowded as say Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. Definitely worth exploring :)
That first one looks like the spider walk in karijini?
I loved the spiderwalk @wakeupworldnews. I spent hours just relaxing in that pool at the end. This one was in Karijini but a different gorge, can't remember what it's called now. There's so many of them
Welcome. Shine!
Thank you for the warm welcome and for taking the time to visit my post @surpassinggoogle
Really appreciate it. Not entirely sure how this platform works as far as rewards goes but @jon24jon24 has been very helpful in trying to make me understand.
Nice post @jh3n. I want to visit that place soon. Great post. Yey! Welcome to steemit family. Keep posting amazing pictures. Im looking forward on your next travel/adventure photos. God bless.
Thanks @edibanez01 You should definitely visit Australia when you get a chance. The famous landmarks are amazing but be sure to also travel off the beaten path. This country is massive. I'd say take your time to really explore it.

Wow, you’re off to quite a start with your first post. I hope that continues, but don’t be disheartened if it doesn’t.
Amazing pictures - I lived in Australia for a while and so have been to many of the places in your post. Western Australia was my favourite - the beaches, lifestyle, wine etc etc
Cheers
Thanks @holbein81 :) I couldn't agree more, Western Australia is my favorite too. Don't even get me started on the wines. LOL! I wish I could've spent more time exploring WA. Spent nearly 2 months there but as you and I both know the country is so massive and WA takes up a third. At the start of my drive from Darwin to the west coast, I was already planning a return trip to do Australia all over again...in a 4x4 caravan I hope :)
And thank you for the great advice :) I am mainly sharing here to document my travels. The rewards will come as a bonus. I have been wanting to blog about my adventures around the world. In fact I bought my own domain in 2015. But that quickly stopped after my introductory post. Ha! Thanks to my brother @jon24jon24 for encouraging me to share on this platform. I could now see why he likes it here so much.
Awesome adventure!!! Aaaaa!! Soo envious. 😍
Thanks @caaat! I couldn't recommend it enough, visit Australia when u get a chance :) And visit not just the famous landmarks.
Amazing pictures! I’m surprised to see a kangaroo at the beach!
Thank you @brianphobos This one along with a mom & joey in the pouch were very friendly. They'd even let you pet them. I have seen so many of this cute creatures and every single time I'd sit there and just watch. I could watch them for hours. They just make my day!

HI @izzhanglie26, thank you for the warm welcome :)
Beautiful post and pics too,
Thank you @spiritualpower
Welcome dear
I don't know why but I always imagined Australia as mostly flat with Ayers Rock somewhere in the middle, your photos shows a much bumpier land than my imagination.
It's vast and there's lots of nothingness especially in the Outback. I didn't quite grasp how massive this country is until I started driving around it. You could be driving for hundreds of kilometers and see nothing but flatness. It is beautiful. But it surely take some time to explore it properly.
woow you have taken my heart with your post dear @jh3n these photos have taken my mind out of me.....the nature so beautiful thank you
Thank you @ghadaelsawy :) Glad you enjoyed the post/photos
