We had Malaysia on our minds for quite a while, we would love to visit some time soon. And thank you for posting such a great article, it's an excellent introduction to your country! Just out of curiosity, which island would you recommend to first-time visitors?

Hihi @jny.untraveled, yes yes please come visit our country! And no problem at all, hope it was helpful :D well the popular islands are quite a distance away but we usually recommend Pulau Langkawi first since its really convenient - cheap direct flight from KL and duty free booze all the way oh yeah. My second favourite would be what I call the triple gems (Perhentian, Lang Tengah and Redang) which may require a longer route to reach, but are super popular islands in Malaysia and are nearby each other (you may island hop). And theres more :p
