So true right! We have such a unique humour here. And also true, I love to find these small places with my girlfriend. They always offer such nice variety and also something different to all of the chains!
Typical SA jokes normally in any of the languages will have one laughing out loud.
And when you are confronted with other languages, we South Africans are always the first ones to laugh when we hear swear words in our own langauge!
People are tribal everywhere in the world, will switch to their language when not fully understood at a whim.
Especially in Europe. Such a shame, when people are not willing to learn.
Only place we had a problem in Europe was France, spoke to them in Afrikaans and they knew English, shits and giggles....
Oh yes, I have heard stories from people visiting France! Strange nation and people.
