RE: Day 6, Part 2 - Team Beck takes a reflective turn in Delville Wood (Somme Region of France)

A place to remember those who went before us to make life a better place, we visited the graves in Arnheim from the 2nd World War @kiligirl it is overwhelming and peaceful at the same time.

Whilst in Edinburgh visited the War Memorial and went through some of the registers of lost South Africans in war (being a Common Wealth Nation).

An interesting site to visit and find out more http://www.findmypast.co.uk/articles/world-records/full-list-of-united-kingdom-records/armed-forces-and-conflict/south-africa-roll-of-honour-1914-1918

Arnheim...wow, @joanstewart, it's on the list for sure. Thanks for sharing. I'm so impressed with how the Commonwealth maintains war graves around the world. @tim-beck has a hairy story about that about war graves in Colesberg. Thanks for the link...I use it for our own family genealogy and didn't realise this kind of information was available on Find My Past. Appreciate you stopping in. 😊😊
