Oh, how awesome that all looks! Sounds like it was a very worthwhile trip with great sights, food, and experiences! Thanks for sharing :)
If I'm in a foreign country and there's ever a chance to go on a river tour, I do. There's a certain pleasure in taking in the land and people from a calm river. I inevitably get reflective as I'm taking in all the new things I see, and it makes me appreciate my time in the country even more.
Your post does inspire me to stop stalling and get to India! It's always been a dream of mine to go, and perhaps spend a couple of months traveling around. I was especially inspired after seeing an incredible TED talk (https://www.ted.com/talks/shukla_bose_teaching_one_child_at_a_time). It's by a woman named Shukla Bose, who explains how she helped revolutionise the educational opportunities of kids in slums in India.
Thanks for the TED recommendation! I will take a look.
Please do, I hope you'll also find it interesting! I'm a bit of a TED-a-holic, so let me know if you want any other recommendations :)
