Siglufjörður - Herring town
This is the beautiful icelandic town of Siglufjörður. It grew enormously during the 40s and 50s because of it's herring industry. The harbor was one of the most important ones in Iceland and the the herring export from Siglufjörður made up to 20% of the national export. Nowadays the town is still dependent on fishing also there is no more herring. Water is valuable for human kind in many ways! Enjoy!
