I love visiting natural hot springs. The water is filled with natural minerals that are great for the body. When I went to visit the hot springs in Chiang Mai, we dipped our feet in the springs. After a nice dip, we decided to take a look around.

There was one pool which was over 105 celsius degrees. If you put your hand in the water, your hand would cook! I learned that people love to visit the hot springs to boil eggs. They even have signs that tell you how long you should cook your egg if you want it to be soft, medium or hard. Who would have ever thought to cook eggs in a hot spring! How clever!

(Here is a basket of eggs cooking)

Next time I visit a hot spring in America, I'll be sure to bring a basket of eggs to cook!

Son in law eggs with tamarind
Yum!
Ever have them in Thailand ?
I have made them
I cater Thai food ;) my favorite

Hot springs actually boil eggs, I've done some boiling too on them, though havent realized the mechanism behind the source of the heat from underground. Here in Africa we also use them for healing some sicknesses

after completion of holiday in thailand, next trip holiday to indonesia especially aceh,

That is so cool! I visisted a hot spring before in Banff Alberta and it was amazing!

Wow this is great looks like you really had a great time there ☺️ thanks for sharing your amazing experience with us

My best friend is half Thai, it looks like such a beautiful country - one day id really like to visit.

From my observation, I find that the kindness from Thai people are deeply rooted in their Buddhism beliefs.

Wao this is a dangerous water @karensuestudios, be careful.

I will! We didn't put our hands or feet in it!

Acro yoga in action

hehe :)

wow. 105 Celsius is a high temperature. How they heat pool water upto 105 degree Celsius. Great idea to boil eggs at hot springs. Rice can also boil in hot water. There is a place near our village it's name is Tatta Pani (hot water). Name given to lake as it water remain hot due to high sulphur level people go there for picnic and they boil eggs & rice in Tatta pani. keep sharing:)

hahaha! I should try to boil rice.. I'm not sure they will be to happy with me though! LOL

Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. I love this egg stuff. I am planning my trip around the world, six months in South of America and six months in Asia, and I decided to join Steemit because I could find interesting blogs to follow and discover new sights to visit. In my blog, I will talk about travels, art and social innovation. In case you are interested in these topics, check my profile

Ahhh those egg baskets and you guys are so cute!!!

very nice pictures. Really successful and enjoyable. Maybe we had a holiday with you. I am a successful presentation and follower.

Natural hot springs are amazing! I experienced it in New Zealand! :)

When I was in Asia, I'm left wondering what Thailand is like and soon I'll have the opportunity to go and I'll know it from head to toe. When I was in Asia I visited China and I was fascinated with its gastronomy. I hope and stay in the same way when visiting Thailand, thank you for sharing this experience. You are invited to visit my post about vegetarian gastronomy in China. Greetings.
