Good day Hivers, I have been away from my hometown of Santa Fe, Bantayan Island, Cebu Saagundo St, Santa Fe, 6047 Cebu for at least 3 months. Since I attend university in the city.
After a long period of academic torture, I am finally able to return to my roots here in Santa Fe.
The Beginning
I started my journey on December 19, 2023, by going to SM City Mabolo to buy essentials and since the North Bus Terminal is just behind it, it was convenient. I started my Journey at 8 pm. I rode the bus for 3 hours. It certainly is better to start your travels at night since during the day it can be really hot.
My Ceres bus number was 837. The driver and conductor on the bus were nice and the journey was smooth and fast. We passed through multiple municipalities along the way. I particularly enjoyed looking out the window and enjoying the vibrant colors of the lights and Christmas decorations. I could see that the mayors of each municipality put in the effort.
After 3 hours on the road since there was no traffic. We arrived at Hagnaya port at around midnight. The air was chilly since it was midnight and there was a tropical depression just a few days ago. The waves were calm and the boat did not rock at all. It was dark and I could not see much but the lights up ahead could be seen and it got me excited to go home.
The Ship I rode was Island Ventures 7 which was a standard ship of average size. The voyage lasted around 1 hour. If it was during day time then the view would have been better but my sister did not want to ride the bus at noon since it was hot outside.
We arrived at exactly 2 am and we rode the Ceres bus again until we arrived at our destination. Our parents picked us up at the local gas station where we got dropped off by the bus.
When I arrived it was still dark out, but this little cutie greeted me warmly. By the time we arrived, we were so tired and weary from the long trip.
I highly recommend visiting our small but lovely island to your earnest readers. Our island offers a simple yet relaxing ambiance that will truly lift away your troubles. My home town is small and simple but innovated with new buildings that house businesses that are offering more to both locals and tourist. I sincerely hope you'll give our place a visit.😊
