La Trinidad's Strawberry farm is arguably among the famous tourist stop over when you are planning to visit Baguio City. But, if you are from Davao City or anywhere from Mindanao, visiting the Summer Capital of the Philippines might be costly for you both with time and money.
Luckily here in Mindanao there are quite a number of farms that can have that instagrammable looks and feels. One of them is the Bemwa Farm or also known as the Little La Presa of Mindanao.
Bemwa farm is located in the hinterlands of Barangay Datu Salumay, Marilog District, Davao City. For six years the farm has been growing variety of crops such as Lettuce, Herbs and Strawberries in the vast seven-hectare land. Lately, it has become one of the emerging ecotourism destination in Davao Region and is a very good spot to enjoy a family bonding.
With an entrance fee of 50 Pesos (roughly $1), you can enjoy the foggy cold weather and the charming scenery of their vast fertile land. Have your cameras and/or cellphones ready as it will be filled with fun and awesome selfies of you, your family and friends. After having a walk at the vast land, you can fill your tummy with their native hot menus. Don't worry your entrance ticket is your friend since your entrance fee of 50 is fully consumable in their cafeteria. Just add cash if it exceeds 50 Pesos.
If you are lucky enough to visit the farm during their harvest season, you can buy hand-picked strawberries and other crops at the lowest price. You can also buy herb seedlings like mint, rosemary, thyme, etc.
Entrance Fee
- $1 or 50.00 Php consumable in their Cafeteria.
How to get there
- From Davao City or any point in Mindanao, Ride a bus that will pass through the BuDa (Bukidnon-Davao) Highway.
Tell the driver or conductor to drop you at Brgy. Datu Salumay GYM. - There is an uphill road near the GYM where you can find habal-habal. Bargain habal-habal drivers for the fare. Fare is usually 50/head.

Cool.
But actually, Baguio is different from La Trinidad. The latter is the capital town, while the former is the largest city in Benguet.
Thank you sa heads up master. :)
