It's a weary and dreary and dreachy day in Scotland.... TYPICAL!!
So I like to Throw it Back on a Thursday and on a day like this. Taking you back to my time in a Beautiful village in Mallorca.
That Beautiful village is Valldemossa
Valldemossa is a pretty little Village just West of the Island in the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains. You actually wouldn't believe it is only 30 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the Capital Palma. Such a relaxing tranquil place.
So many lovely Restaurants, Cafe's and Bars to sit at to watch the world go by that's what I love doing wherever I go I just love watching people not in a creepy way :)
Here is me sipping my favourite cocktail... Daiquiri of course
Valldemossa is made up of alley ways and small village houses each house is lined with gorgeous green plants and flowers. All pictures taken by me.
Skipping about the place made me that happy
The Village is not only famous for it's beauty it is filled with interesting history and culture. It was the birthplace of Mallorca’s Patron saint Catalina Thomas seen in my picture's and was also called home to a famous polish composer Frederic Chopin you can find his statue in the maze looking garden beside the clock tower also in the pictures
Frederic pictured below and his partner French writer George Sand are associated with Valldemossa as the tale of the two lovers. I read they moved to Mallorca in the winter time when Frederic was poorly and his health was deteriorating and they believed the warm weather would make him better which I can definitely believe from living in Scotland. No one likes the cold.
Also managed to get a shot of this statue of Ludwig Salvator I didn't manage to find out much about him except he is an Archduke of Austria but that's all I got on him
Yes so you can see from all my pictures that I really enjoyed myself in Valldemossa it was such a great day and I recommend it to anyone who is on the Island to make a visit here you won't be disappointed.
Hope you have enjoyed my post on Valldemossa
