Hello Steemit community. Today, I'll be sharing my trip to Shimla, which is located in Himachal Pradesh.
As you would expect, it was really cold. The climate in Shimla is predominantly cool during winters and moderately warm during summer. It took 17 hours to reach Shimla from Guwahati where I live. So follow me:
We booked a hotel in Shimla. This is Hotel Marina in Shimla where we lived in being time for travel. Really good hotel and service was great.
Then we took a taxi and toured a bit of city. We went up the roads to get a good view of Shimla.
This is the full view of Shimla. Most of the houses can be seen from there. It was a great view, we stayed there for like half an hour to enjoy the view and cold wind.
This is from the top in another direction, where no houses can be seen, only trees and small roads. I remember the ride on that road was not good, as you would expect in hilly areas.
We went to a small village up in the mountains, to see the people how they living there. It was cold not very, the view from there was great too. You can see the mountains filled with snow.
In this, we actually had to climb a lot up the mountains. You can see the big rocks. There's also a small river. The view from there was breath taking, we actually stayed for hours there.
This is temple in Shimla. People go in there to pray. It was beautiful.
This is one of my favorite. I decided to climb to the top and find a spot to sit right. It was dangerous if a bit exhilarating. The views from here are breath taking. All around is sprawling with beautiful natural landscape filled with trees and mountains. I lie down on rocks and enjoy the view, sit for hours. From this trip, I overcomed the fear of climbing mountains to the top.
The pictures are taken from my phone, that's why the pictures are not that great. I don't have a DSLR or professional camera. So I didn't take much pictures.
I hope you enjoyed my trip to Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. There will be Part 2 where we went to another city.
