The Simón Bolívar Hydroelectric Plant, also called the Guri Dam, and formerly known as the Raúl Leoni Hydroelectric Power Plant (from 1974 to 2006, when it was renamed by presidential decree) is located in the Bolívar State, in the Necuima Canyon, 100 kilometers upstream of the mouth of the Caroni River in the Orinoco
FROM THERE YOU CAN SEE ONE OF THE TURBINE ROOMS THAT ARE USED TO GENERATE THE ELECTRIC ENERGY
This photo was taken right above the floodgates of the dam, it's something impressive it feels like it's raining every time they open
Right next to the dam is the natural park La Llovizna
The mighty Caroni River in all its glory a landscape worth seeing in person
I was sitting in a pond while feeding the fish I found this adorable friend under the fence where I had my feet, I am not an expert in animal life but I think it is a Python
These were just a few pictures I could find of the trip I made a few years ago I wanted to share them with you so that you can appreciate the natural beauty of my country greetings I say goodbye to you until an upcoming post
