I always concerned with the antinutrient properties of unsoaked beans or lentils. NOW if the tofu is made with soy that has not been soaked, the tofu would inherit this property. It seems in Argentina people understand this more than say North Amrricans. I don't know Brazil so well. I have only been there a matter of days.

Yeah Argentina is one of the main countries in soy production, it's also soooo cheap there and of great quality! I don't know specifically about the soy in Brazil, but the choice in vegan food is plenty
