Today we visited another highlight of South France. We made it to Marseille and hiked in the beautiful Calanques National Park. To enter the park you don’t have to pay entrance fee and it is very convenient to reach by public transport from the city center of Marseille. It takes just about 30 to 45 minutes from the city center to the gate of the park. We choose to start at Luminy University, where we walket to the Calanque Sugiton. It’s about an hour walk from the bus stop at Luminy and actually a very easy hike. After about 30 minutes of walking straight, you can see the Calanques Mountain range and after the path goes down to sea level. The view gets better and better the closer you get to the see. And shortly before you reach the sea, there is a beautiful panoramic view you can enjoy!
We stayed at Calanque Sugiton for a few hours and found our way back in the afternoon.
If you have the chance to go there, I suggest you not to forget the following things: take plenty of water (at least 1.5 liters per person) as there is no freshwater source or shop in the Calanques. Hat and sunglasses are essential against headache and sunburn as so is sun blocker. Also, don’t forget to take some snacks with you. There is really no restaurant on site. Also some good shoes make your way much easier and safer.
All in all, we had a beautiful day at this wonderful National Park!
今天我们去了马赛的Calanques峡湾徒步，Calanques是法国的一个国家公园，但无需门票，可自行徒步前往，也可在马赛预订一日游乘船游览。
马赛的峡湾长达20公里，在蜿蜒曲折的海岸中隐匿了一个又一个的小海滩，海水蓝绿相间，清澈透明，在阳光下如钻石般闪耀，有船只漂浮其上，周边是白色的石灰岩山脉，非常原始野性。
Calanques徒步非常轻松，从马赛市内可以乘公交车到达徒步起点，我们只徒步了一个小时就到达了海滩，南法日照猛烈，徒步中很多时候都是在太阳下暴晒，建议大家一定要带充足的水，有段路都是碎石，最好选择穿登山鞋或者运动鞋，以免滑倒。南法夏日干燥，树林容易起火，有些时候国家公园会封山禁止徒步，所以徒步前要查看即时信息。
从山上一路向下走到海湾，期间可以远眺地中海，俯瞰山海全景，地中海蓝的深沉。在阳光下入宝石般耀眼。海水明净无暇，很适合游泳，提醒大家千万不要忘了带泳衣，我就是忘记带泳衣了，很遗憾没能嬉水。

I am just in awe at the color of the water in European countries. The Amalfi coast in Italy had beautiful water too- like someone based all the blue crayon colors after visiting there. Absolutely gorgeous!
