Dear Steemit friends, today I'm gonna tell you more about Iran. I've already shared some stories about this amazing country before, but there is still a lot to say about it.
The real Iran is totally different with what we always see and read in the media, Iran is definitely not the "axis of evil" what the media describes, and it is not a radical muslims country either. Iran was a very open and secular country before the 1979 islamic revolution, and it was very westernized and there was no restraint in people's lives. Later because of the foreign interventions, international hegemony, and unpopular Iran leaders, all together led to the outbreak of the islamic revolution.
Because of the economic sanctions by the United States, there are no international brands in Iran, you even can't see McDonald's and KFC, but a lot of faked brands. But because of the abundance of oil production, Iran's per capita cars and houses in the city are pretty high. Domestic produced supplies are sufficient, combined with a large amount of trade between China and Russia.
Iran's international tourism has been relatively closed in the past years and there were very few foreign tourists coming to Iran, so Iranians are very enthusiastic for foreign visitors. As a foreigner it's very likely that random people on the streets are inviting you to there houses and be their guests. And in Iran the quite many people are very good in English, so you can easily get along with locals.
And they love Asian faces especially, there are many locals that took photos with me, as a Chinese, I was so popular in Iran, for males and females both, hahaha. They are also keen to call themselves Persians, they are also proud of their ancient Persian culture.
I suggests that you guys try couchsurfing in Iran, because the Iranian tourist industry is underdeveloped and there is almost no competition for backpacker hostels. But the privat apartments we had lived in Iran were very cozy, and all the hosts were amazingly good people.
Varzaneh is a village between Kashan and Isfahan, it has a dessert area and we have joined the dessert safari in our hostel.
Abyaneh is a valley village located near to Kashan, it surrounded by mountains. It has 2000 years of history. People still speak Pahlavi language in Abyaneh. The village is the living fossil of Iranian history and cultures.
There was no any public transport from Kashan to Abyaneh so we shared a taxi with another two friends we met in a hostel in Kashan.
There are not many residents in Abyaneh and most of them are old people, so the village seemed a bit deserted. It was autumn, when we traveled there, the maple leaves and the wheat houses woven into a colorful picture.

Oh thats great! Yes, i hope so too! Iran is really great!:-)
Excellent photos and content, quite a monster post took me some time to read through it all!
Thank you so much @c0ff33a! Haha, ok, i'll try to keep it shorter next time!!;-)
Make them as long as you like, it was actually quite refreshing to read through such a rich and complex post. I think I have become so accustomed to seeing posts of one or two pictures and a little text it becomes the normal. It's always a balance of quality over quantity - but some how you managed to achieve the golden nugget of quantity with quality - with very well deserved benefits.
