El Capitolio or the National Capitol Building, was the seat of government in Cuba until the Cuban Revolution in 1959.It is a replica of the one found in Washington.It was being renovated when I visited so we couldn’t go inside but the whole area around it is worth exploring.

There are some photos entered in this contest that although they are beautiful, even wonderful shots, they are not from South America.
Will you be considering them for a future Central or North American contest instead?
