5 Tips to plan your trip to Doñana (near Seville and Cadiz in Spain)

1. Stay in El Rocío, a wonderful village where the horse is the center of everything!
   
   At night El Rocío is the only light in the middle of the National Park, good food and superb view of some marismas full of birds and deers.

2. Take a 4x4 tour to get familiar with the different areas of the park. I recommend you to go to El Acebuche from there you can take a tour and visit the different ecosystems.

Doñana is a birds watcher paradise.

1. But also go to the beach to refresh yourself even the wild boars do. Some amazing areas of beach area waiting for you ;)

1. Try to avoid summer time (July and August) Andalucía in general is hot but these months also the marshes get dry and there are less birds to watch.

In summer months the marsh get dry.

1. Finally search for the King... The Iberian Lynx!
   The way I did. First: I spotted a place full rabbits, high density is mandatory.
   

Then I woke alone this area right next to the National Park and very close to El Rocío...and I was very lucky! The first day a lynx cub made some noise on some bushes 10 meters from me. I could not believe how lucky I was... but 5 minutes later in the path below I spotted the mother. That was it! now I know where to spot them. Next day early in the morning I was there to take some photos. I really enjoyed these 10 minutes with them!
