These gorgeous monolithic domes are popping up on the Source Farm Eco-Village in Jamaica! Earthworks, a green building service offered by Source Farm, builds natural earth bag buildings and monolithic dome homes. These domes are built by inflating a giant balloon, building a metal structure around the ballon and then cementing the outside. The balloon is durable and re-usable, it can be patched when holes occur. Once painted and finished, the result is a stunning cosmic yet earthen sustainable building.
Being in one of these domes feels primal yet futuristic, like the future long ago.
Currently at the Source Farm, there are a few dome building projects. One is the Ni Mala Wellness center, 3 connected domes with a yoga veranda overlooking a medicinal herb garden and a gorgeous ocean view! Ni Mala Wellness will offer mind-body-spirit healing including yoga retreats, plant medicine, spirit work, deep detoxing and more. The offerings of Ni Mala will be for both the local people of the Jamaica and international travelings who’d like to experience the magic of the Caribbean. The building project is underway, 2 domes are cemented and the third has it’s metal frame and is waiting for it’s cement.

Also, anyone ever been in a monolithic dome before? Anyone ever been involved in building one?
That's me! I look so good. I want to live in a double dome! 😛😂
Yea you'd look good in a double dome too 😉 What color do you want to paint the outside?
