We went away for the weekend and it was fun! We met up with my dad and his partner at the Pershore Jazz Festival all day on Saturday. Lots of good music. A little bit of bad music. Lots of very old people. Not that many people younger than me! And this was possibly why it was so hard to find power outlets to charge devices on the day, I don't think they were expecting many people to want to charge their phones.

But really good to just have a day pootling between stages, the cafe and the bar, chatting and listening to people play - it made me want to practice more, which is definitely a good thing.

We stayed in Worcester, which is the nearest bustling metropolis. I spent a lot of time there in my mid to late teens. It's changed. It's a much more tired and dark place than it used to be, or maybe that's just me. It's the kind of place where you feel like there's been lots of money spent but not much improvement made. I dunno, maybe I just miss running into the giggly schoolgirls I used to know.

I also got a run in on Saturday morning, but didn't record it here. Intervals again, but six reps, along the river and back again - saw bits of the river I've only seen from a boat before and found a new bridge! Didn't enjoy the journey back and was a bit tired by the end of it, but feeling rested and refreshed today.

Sort:

Not sure I've been to Worcester. I do wonder if some types of culture are losing their audience if they cannot get young people into it. Mind you there was a good mix at the Eisteddfod last week.

Good to hear you are still running and seen to be improving.

I may have taken over your role as retro ukulele player on Steem, but I welcome some competition. Shame the open mic seems to have stopped.
