That taxi driver ripped you off lol. You could have saved by taking the metro from the airport. It is just €10 and you would see views for half of the way :-)
They do do drive like crazy there. They have one of the highest car accident rates in Europe, especially hitting pedestrians (be careful!). Last time I was in Athens I witnessed a car accident. 3 cars smashed into each other. I am looking forward to more posts from Greece!
