Kilometers from the blue town of Chefchaouen, in the vicinity of Talassemtane National Park we find one of the largest natural spectacles of Morocco, the cascades of Akchour.

The waterfalls, declared as well as their environment, reserve of the biosphere by Unesco in 2016, invite to a sensory experience of the richest.

The path that leads to the waterfalls is of great beauty in addition to being well marked and easy access for all members of the family. The first route also allows access to another important geographical accident, the Pont de Dieu. Arriving at the junction between the roads of the Cascade and the bridge, we take the road to the latter, following the river El Kelaa. Despite the slight slope, we can already notice the first waterfalls and wooden bridges. Along the way we can see frail cane constructions and the ornaments of the road as the benches help to give the area a magical aura.

As the road becomes more complicated, the beauty of the area increases by a notch.

The waterfalls are always bigger until arriving at the great cascade of Akchour where the water seems to have patiently sculpted a magical decoration of capricious forms the limestone.

The province of Chefchaouen has a wide range of potentialities and tourism. The alleys are picturesque. You can do wonderful walks and discover historical monuments. You can also enjoy many sandy beaches. And vast forests with a very varied fauna and flora. The main tourist attractions in the province are:

The town of Chefchaouen
The source of Ras El Maa (3 km from the town of Chefchaouen)
The old medina with the kasbah
The cascades and the Cherafat mosque
The forest of Talassemtane
The Toughoubite Cave
The bridge of God in Akchour

It is the ideal destination for people looking to escape the meandering of the city.
Being in the heart of nature and its nucleus, the blue pearl, remains welcoming, warm, simple beauty but attractive.
The simplicity is always close to the heart, Chefchaouen, the blue pearl is even more so.
