Hola amigos,
Last year I was feel the Caribbean dream, a lot of islands from there. If I flew 11h until there, I was trying to see as much as I can see in this island. Like every corner of the world, you can't miss the capital.
Santo Domingo is the capital of the Dominican Republic and one of the Caribbean's oldest cities.
I was in one day circuit, to see the city and everything close to it.
First stop was to the Monumento Natural Cueva Los Tros Ojos.
Los Tres Ojos is the name given to a 50-yard open-air limestone cave located in the Mirador del Este park.
Here I saw a wonderful cave and a very turquoise water. Hidden in a natural limestone cave in the lush surrounds of the Dominican Republic the small group of subterranean lakes known collectively as Los Tres Ojos (The Three Eyes).
I needed to go down a lot of stairs until the waters.
After that, I went to the Alcazar de Colon, which is the oldest Viceregal residence in America, and forms part of the Ciudad Colonial UNESCO's World Heritage Site. The Columbus house is one of the main land marks in the "Zona Colonial", a museum with dresses and main items of the colonial era, Diego Colon (Christopher Columbus son) lived here with his wife and was the governor of the island.
After we finish with visiting the most important spots of the city, we stay to eat and drink something to a very lovely place, called Bucheerico. There we saw a very interesting traditional dance. One of the dancers accept to make a picture with me:)
Chu Chu Colonial Train:)))
Santo Domingo is old, is hot, colorful and seems like Cuba, even I wasn't there, only my impression made from the seen pictures.
Go and travel! We have such a wonderful world outside!
HUGS,
Mada
Me gustó mucho tu post.
Gracias amiga!:X
