Kostnitsa "(the full name of the Cemetery Church of All Saints with the Kostanese), of which I want to tell you, understood that since I will be in Prague, I consider it necessary to visit this place. According to the story, in the 13th century, the monk brought from the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem, a handful of earth, and dispelled it over the cemetery of the monastery. This land began to be considered a saint, and all the nobility wanted to be buried here. As a result, the remains of more than 40,000 people accumulated in the monastery's arena. After his death, the rest of the monks closed the chapel, and it has survived to this day. Having stayed closed for 350 years.
It was bought by Prince Schwarzenberg. The prince decided to do something gothic, and ordered the carver to cut the wood from the bones, something unusual. The carver, obviously a creative person, created what we can observe today.
Wonderful entry and some amazing information. Tomas
