To the Prague Castle adjoins the Hradčany district, in whose territory the servant of the aforementioned residence of the Czech rulers originally lived. But after the fire of 1541, the liberated buildings of the territory were redeemed by noblemen and built in their place palaces in the Renaissance style. By the way, like the other three historical districts of Prague, Hradcany was originally a separate city. And only at the end of the eighteenth century these separate settlements were united in one city - Prague.
