Assisi Italy is a town in Italy, located in the Perugia in the Umbria region. It was the birthplace of St. Francis (San Francisco). I would say it's one of my favorite trip for a lifetime. I would definitely go back!
How the get there? Well, I took a train from Fiumucino Airport to Assis. About 3 HRS all in all. From FCO airport take a train to Roma Tiburtina and change train that goes to Foligno( Acuna) and from Foligno change train again going to Assisi. It will cost around 18 euro for ordinary ride and about 24 euro for a first class ride.
