In January 2019, cca 3 weeks...volunteered with several local NGOs there and the "subjects" we helped were 90% Muslim refugees..never felt threatened or in danger for one second while in direct contact with those people.

Get real. Athens has basically gone down the tubes and has become a cesspool. Lifelong Athenians are threatened and disgusted. I wouldn't question the integrity of any post by 'travel pro'. His well earned reputation for accurate reporting is his trademark. If he said it happened and it's what he witnessed, bank on it.
No hard feelings either...I just don't like when people throw shit on Muslims cuz of prejudice..not sure what Sharia law has to do with the fact u were attacked and why u even mentioned it...yeah, whatever, enjoy the rest of ur stay and be safe.
