Wow, a world trip! I am jealous! In terms of this journey, it was definitely an adventure. If you try it out then make sure you have a guide unless you are knowledgeable hikers. For me it was a brilliant bonding experience and a opportunity to let go so it could be a wonderful family thing. It really depends on your kids, if they like the out doors and are up for a bit of excitement then definitely - but they must be prepared to hike!
