The Tatra Mountains ( Tatry, Tatras ) represent the mountain range of the Carpathian Arc, situated in the north of Slovakia and southern Poland.
It is a great place for adventure in the summer and winter months.
( I visited the Slovak side of the mountains.)
Tatras are interesting mainly for its variability. You will find many valleys, mountain lakes, rocky and steep terrains, and places where the snow is all year round.
Weather is also changing every moment. In the local stores you can buy a raincoats, but it will not save you from sudden strong storms.
I recommend to prepare a proper equipment (food, shoes, clothing) and be careful everywhere.
Who makes the hiking, knows this world...there can be a lot of dangerous places.
Here I was very surprised that the tourist signage sent me a " jump" across the river..
I admire the brave pensioners who have mastered it =) I know it looks calm, but it's just a bad photo. ( quick photo in the middle of a path in the water)
There was an unpleasant surprise waiting for me....you go over a huge waterfall and you are holding only a chain.. I admit that it was very difficult for me, I'm afraid of heights !!

When you climb to the top of the mountain, beautiful lakes are waiting for you.

On some mountain shields, you can make your way easier by riding in the cable car.
Try it, the view is wonderful .
If you love nature and mountains, you should make a trip there.
